ABB EXPLOSION PROOF ELECTROMOTOR is a heavy-duty three-phase induction motor engineered with a certified flameproof cast-iron frame to safely operate in volatile environments containing explosive gases or combustible dusts. Fully ATEX and IECEx certified with protection classes up to Ex d/Ex db, its robust enclosure is built to contain internal explosions without igniting the surrounding atmosphere. Its high efficiency ratings and extreme temperature tolerance make it ideal for driving equipment in hazardous industrial applications, including oil and gas refineries, chemical processing plants, offshore platforms, grain handling facilities, and fuel storage depots.
